Increased police presence expected through Labor Day

Area law enforcement are revving up increased patrols for Labor Day.  The Peoria Police Department as well as the State and other local departments are running special patrols and roadside safety checks for the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign.

Police initiatives mean an increased emphasis on driver safety with a zero tolerance for drunk driving and ticketing for seat belt law violators.

NO CITYLINK SERVICE ON LABOR DAY

Both CityLink and CityLift will suspend service on Labor Day.  Burlington Railways and Peoria Charter Coach will be offering bus service from the Transit Center on Labor Day.  But the Transit Center building itself will be closed.  All services will resume normal operating hours on Tuesday
